Adds Korean as a UI language: Settings › Appearance & Behavior › System Settings ›
Language and Region lists 한국어, with Korean catalogs for message keys and source text.
Only Chinese must translate every UI text. Other locales may lack entries and show
the English text for them; their catalogs are still checked for stale entries, keys
English lacks and placeholders that differ from the English text.

jdtls ran on the parallel collector, which never shrinks the heap while idle, so each server kept its import/build peak committed for as long as it lived. It now runs on G1 with a periodic collection every minute and a 10–30% free-heap band, so memory goes back to the OS once the work is done (a SkyWalking checkout: 1.9 GB → 1.25–1.3 GB idle). A collector set in the JVM options still replaces ours with its tuning; setting either heap-free ratio drops both of ours.
The Equinox launcher gets -nosplash: without it its native library loads AppKit on macOS and every jdtls shows as Not Responding in Activity Monitor.
Part of #1008.
Reverts #1122, merged by mistake (wrong PR number) before review and under another change's commit message. Adding UI locales is still an open decision (#914), and the Korean catalog fails the catalog tests on current main.
`openidea --line 120 --column 8 <file>` opens the file at that position (1-based; without --column the line start; clamped). The position is kept by file until the window that opens it takes its launch: new instance, second instance, a project open elsewhere, an already open file. The path argument skips these flags' values.
Closes#829
The project tree's Delete question was concatenated from English fragments, and the VCS prompt / multi-choice labels and the shortcut recorder placeholder were rendered as given, so they stayed English in the Chinese UI. The question is now tx templates with zh entries; the labels and placeholder go through the catalog.
The native Settings window showed only its title bar until its startup chain finished; a page that failed to register ended the chain silently. The steps are now guarded and openSettings runs in finally. Uncaught errors and unhandled rejections of every window (and caught errors via logError) are written to the log file through log_frontend, deduplicated and capped per window.
Error, warning, weak-warning and typo underlines never showed on macOS, nor did underline effects of syntax tokens from a colour scheme: WebKit rejects a text-decoration shorthand with a style or colour (underline wavy <colour>), so the declaration fell back to none.
The editor's diagnostic and token styles also set -webkit-text-decoration, which WebKit takes the full value through; the red wavy underlines of the Problems, Build, Project and Database views use the longhand properties.
A plugin system built on WebAssembly components (wasmtime, WASI p2), with a
typed WIT API (`openidea:[email protected]`) and a Rust SDK, shipped as a preview.
- Extension points declared in `plugin.toml` (commands, languages, themes,
icon themes, menus, key bindings, status items, settings, views, custom
editors, file icons and templates, run detectors, editor providers),
validated before anything takes effect and projected onto the workbench's
own registries: plugin themes and file icon themes are chosen in
Settings › Appearance and Quick Switch, plugin shortcuts are edited in
Settings › Keymap, plugin problems are grouped in Settings › Inspections.
- Capabilities with risk levels and consent at install, pinned `process:`
programs, secrets in the OS keychain.
- Runtime: one thread per active plugin, fuel/time/memory budgets, soft and
hard deadlines on the editing path, cancellation, crash backoff, idle
reclaim, a precompiled-component cache; remote projects run code plugins on
`openidea-server`.
- Web views and custom editors with a sandboxed page, a document bridge
joined to the text editor's undo history, and split or preview layouts.
- Distribution: signed `.oiplugin` packages, a static marketplace index with
revocation, versioned installs with rollback, install from a `.zip` or a
folder. The release workflow signs and publishes the official plugins and
their index, which released builds use as the default marketplace.
- Official plugins: String Tools, Key Promoter, Git Toolbox, AI Completion,
Checkstyle, MyBatis Navigator, CSV Editor, Solidity, Material Icons, Harbor
Night, Excalidraw, Graphviz, Regex Tester, License Header.

Mapping paths had to be typed. The local path and deployment path cells now have a folder button: the local one picks a folder inside the project, the deployment one opens the server's folder chooser at its root path, and both fill in the path relative to their root (the deployment button needs an absolute root path).
Fixes#799
The Gradle model came from a static parse of settings.gradle, which cannot follow includeFlat, projectDir assignments, computed include lists or included builds, so those modules were missing from the Gradle tool window, the Project view, indexing and run. Sync now runs an init script that prints every evaluated project (identity path, directory, build directory, source sets with test classification, Java version) without resolving dependencies; the static parser stays as the fallback before the first sync. Modules outside the root become content roots, the Project view lists the build's module group above the project folder, an unsynced Gradle build is imported once when opened, and staleness ignores comments and whitespace in build scripts.
Application / Spring Boot configurations of a Gradle module run through a JavaExec task on the source set's runtime classpath by default (Settings › Build Tools › Gradle › Build and run using), with the debugger attached to the forked JVM. The build model reaches run and the Project view through a platform store rather than a cross-feature import.

Claude Code reports the account's 5-hour and weekly usage limits (rate_limit_event) and the session cost (result.total_cost_usd); only the limit status was used. The limits now show as meters next to the context meter in the task header, with the reset time in the tooltip, and Settings › Tools › Agents › Chat turns each meter (context, work time, limits, cost) on or off. Limits are per provider and kept in memory; cost is off by default.

oxfmt ran only below an oxfmt configuration and reused the Prettier settings. It now has its own settings group and page (path, enabled languages, formatting provider, run on save) next to Prettier. For a language with an external formatter, oxfmt formats it when enabled for that language and either an oxfmt configuration is found above the file or oxfmt is the selected provider; otherwise Prettier, when enabled. Turning Prettier off for a language still leaves it to the language server. New Reformat with Prettier / Reformat with oxfmt commands run that tool regardless of the settings and report languages it cannot format.

Conflicts left by stash pop or an automatic stash now get the same editor banner (File has unresolved merge conflicts, Resolve conflicts…) as merge conflicts. Complete conflict markers are reported as errors in every language and listed in Problems (severity under Settings › Editor › Inspections › Version Control). The toolbar shows Resolve/Continue and Abort next to the branch while conflicts or an interrupted operation exist, and the Commit view and Branches popup offer Resolve Conflicts even when no operation is in progress.

A mapping's local path may now be an absolute path inside the project (the form IntelliJ writes), and a deployment path of . means the server root; absolute paths outside the project are kept as they are. The project-tree Deployment submenu names the default server (Upload to <server>, Download from <server>, Sync with Deployed to <server>…) and gains Sync with Deployed to Default Server. Remote Host downloads use the backend-resolved mapping, which fixes downloads under symlinked or case-different paths.

Composer projects and PHPUnit suites are detected (Composer scripts, PHPUnit, artisan serve); PHPUnit runs report into the test tree through --teamcity with gutter runs for classes and methods, file-level runs, rerun failed and a PHPUnit run configuration type. The Markdown preview had a fixed 14px body and notebook Markdown cells inherited the UI font size, so enlarging them meant scaling the whole UI. Settings › Tools › Agents is split into Built-in and ACP Registry tabs. The Built-in tab lists every built-in agent with its status (custom executable or not found on PATH) and, for the selected agent, its default launch line, an Executable field (empty = auto-detect on PATH) with Browse and Reset, and its sign-in hint. Edits are staged with the Settings dialog and written on Apply / OK; Cancel discards them.
The override is written to <config>/agents/<id>.toml, keeping hand-written name, driver, args and env; resetting a command-only override removes the file. AgentProvider now exposes the program, args, built-in defaults, login hint and whether the command is editable: built-ins started through a package runner (npx) and registry installs are read-only, with the reason shown.

Ruby gets an ERB editor mode (HTML with embedded Ruby), Ruby / Rake / RSpec run configuration types, and a Settings › Languages & Frameworks › Ruby page for choosing the interpreter (Auto picks the `.ruby-version` / mise / asdf install, else `ruby` on PATH).
- Run: `.rb` scripts run from the editor context menu, `_spec.rb` / `_test.rb` files narrow an RSpec or Rake (`SPEC=` / `TEST=`) configuration, and Rakefile tasks are detected; Rake and RSpec go through `bundle exec` when the project has a Gemfile. The chosen interpreter's `ruby`, `bundle`, `rake` and `rspec` are used and its bin directory is put on PATH.
- Configuration forms rebuild from a raw command line keeping option values with their options (`--format documentation`, `-I lib`), and a new Ruby configuration opens in the Ruby form with the script still to fill in.
- External Libraries lists the Ruby standard library and the bundle's gems, including those Bundler installs inside the project (`vendor/bundle`).
- Ruby is part of the frontend settings defaults and normalization, so the selected interpreter survives a settings round-trip.

tao makes frameless Wayland windows client-side decorated (an empty GTK
title bar, so the compositor adds no frame) but leaves them undecorated,
so GTK draws no shadow or resize margin and dark windows blend into
whatever is behind them. Decorating the window after build keeps that
empty title bar: GTK adds the theme's shadow and resize edges, nothing
else. Applies to project windows and the Settings window; X11 is
unchanged (decorating there would bring back the WM frame).
- Detect Wayland from GDK's backend (tao's own test), not env vars.
- Measure windows by GTK's content size, which excludes the shadow
margin, so remembered geometry and Settings placement don't grow.
- Skip the in-page resize handles on Wayland; GTK provides the edges.

#595 follow-up: the 1px --border-window hairline is nearly invisible on
the dark theme (#40434a against a dark desktop), which fuqiuluo confirmed
on Fedora 44 GNOME Wayland after the first edge commit. Blend the
foreground tone into the ring so the boundary reads on every theme;
still CSS-only, since Wayland gives undecorated windows no compositor
shadow to paint outside the surface.
Linux compositors draw no shadow for undecorated windows (Wayland has
no server-side decorations at all), so the frameless settings window is
indistinguishable from the desktop there — #595's follow-up after the
Windows DWM-shadow fix. Paint a 1px --border-window inset ring around
the window root: the webview draws the same hairline on every
windowing system.
An owned child (WS_POPUP) of a borderless parent gets no DWM shadow,
leaving the frameless settings window flat against its project window.
Ownership is already tracked by the settings-<parent> label (parent-close
cleanup in on_window_event, menu modality), so make the settings window
top-level on Windows; macOS and Linux keep the native parent link.
Confirm before exiting the IDE now defaults to on in both the Rust settings and the frontend schema; the exit dialog's "Don't ask again" still turns it off.

* fix(core): read the Windows user PATH past REG_EXPAND_SZ quirks
`RegGetValueW` reports the unexpanded size of a `REG_EXPAND_SZ` value, so
a user `Path` that grows when its `%VAR%` references are expanded was
silently dropped. And when the terminating NUL leaked into the read
buffer with a stray UTF-16 unit behind it, `trim_end_matches('\0')`
left that unit in the string and `env::set_var("PATH", ...)` panicked
("strings passed to WinAPI cannot contain NULs", #683).
Re-read at the size the failed call reports, and cut the decoded string
at the first NUL instead of trimming trailing ones. Covered by a test
against a throwaway key under HKCU\Software.
* test: cover registry terminator corruption and refresh inspection groups

CMake run configurations used fixed arguments (-B build, Debug) and only recognised existing build directories.
Projects can now define CMake profiles under Settings › Build, Execution, Deployment › CMake: build type, generator, CMake arguments, build directory (default cmake-build-<type>), build arguments and environment. Each profile gets its own Configure, Build, CTest and target run configurations, named after the profile when there are several. Configure runs first only while the build directory has no CMakeCache.txt, and a generator change clears the stale cache before configuring. Projects without profiles keep the previous detection. Arguments are stored as lists and edited with the same quoting rules as program arguments. Toolchain selection is not part of this change.

Java formatting comes from jdtls' Eclipse formatter, whose defaults differ from the IntelliJ IDEA code style. Settings › Editor › Code Style › Java now offers a formatting profile: Default (unchanged), IntelliJ IDEA, or a custom Eclipse formatter XML (absolute or project-relative path).
The IntelliJ IDEA profile is a bundled Eclipse formatter XML that follows IDEA's default Java code style item by item (indents, aligned multi-line parameters, annotation placement, else/catch/finally on the same line, array initializers, lambdas, blank lines, comments not reflowed). Manual line breaks are kept; lines longer than 120 columns wrap where necessary, which differs from IDEA's default of not wrapping. The profile reaches a running jdtls through didChangeConfiguration without a restart; an unreadable custom file shows a warning and leaves code intelligence running. Code style changes reconfigure language servers without scheduling Kotlin bridge builds.
Also drops two catalog entries whose texts are no longer used.
Fixes#649
Reformat Code only asked the language server for formatting, so files whose server has no formatting capability (Markdown with marksman, and others depending on the server) could not be formatted.
Languages can now declare an external formatter. Prettier is the first: a managed tool installed on demand, or the project's own node_modules/prettier, an explicit path, or PATH. It runs on the backend copy of the document with the file's path so Prettier resolves the project's config, overrides and ignore files, and its result is applied as one undoable edit. Language servers that format a file keep doing so unless Prettier is preferred in Settings › Languages › Prettier; formatting on save is opt-in. Parsers without range support format the whole file and say so.
Errors carry structured tool data, so a missing Prettier reuses the shared install prompt and Prettier diagnostics or timeouts show as non-sticky notifications.

Adds a UI fallback font under Settings › Appearance › Use custom font, so glyphs missing from the chosen UI font (e.g. CJK in Menlo) render in a font the user picks instead of the system default. The fallback joins the UI font stack used by menus, the project tree and dialogs, and resolves macOS user fonts through the shared font loader.
Also keeps the custom font controls wrapping together at narrow widths and covers save/clear/disable, stack composition and settings round-trip in tests.

The SSH configuration form only asked for a password after a failed Test Connection, so choosing Password showed nothing but a "Save password" checkbox. It now shows a Password row, or a Passphrase row for key pairs.
The typed secret is staged with the other settings changes: it is written on Apply / OK and discarded on Cancel or Reset, and Test Connection uses it without storing it. An emptied field leaves the stored secret alone. Deployment, run target and data source forms have their own secret inputs and are unchanged.
IDE zoom changed the toolbar height while the macOS window buttons stayed at a fixed vertical position. The buttons are now centred in the title bar using its measured height and the zoom, and repositioned after AppKit layout updates. Zooming out keeps enough room for them so they do not cover the project icon, and compact mode follows the same alignment.
Windows align from the saved zoom and compact setting when they are built, so the buttons do not move once the page loads. The height uses the zoom the webview applies, so an out-of-range setting cannot misplace them.
Projects now open with a user-owned trust decision. The prompt offers Preview in Restricted Mode, Don't Open and Trust Project, with an optional trusted parent folder; preview is the default focus so Enter never grants trust.
Restricted projects keep browsing, editing, saving, search and highlighting. Project-controlled execution is denied by default in the backend: run, debug, build, tools, language servers, plugins and Git commands that could honour repository configuration. Trusting a project enables those paths without reopening it, and decisions can be revoked in Settings.
Terminals stay available when the user opens one, without project shell settings, environment or virtualenv activation. A shell prompt that runs git in the folder can still honour the repository's core.fsmonitor.

Open files only reloaded from file watcher events, so a change the watcher skipped stayed stale in its tab: excluded and git-ignored folders, files outside the project, and missed events.
- Re-check open documents against disk when the window gains focus, off the UI thread and debounced. Clean documents reload, dirty ones keep the existing warning, and unchanged ones cost one metadata call.

Properties documents passed through charset decoding alone, leaving Unicode escapes in the shared document text.
- Add a default-off "Transparent native-to-ascii conversion" setting under the properties encoding and a stable action. Changing it reloads clean properties buffers in place; dirty buffers keep their codec.
- Decode eligible escapes and surrogate pairs when constructing documents, and save non-ASCII as uppercase escapes in pure ASCII. Backslash pairs, malformed escapes, unpaired surrogates and line terminator escapes stay literal, so an edit cannot split a property across lines.
- Use the same codec for search, closed-file readers, Git diffs, staging and partial commits. Clean saves and undone edits preserve the original bytes.

Go settings, execution, debugging and test reporting were disconnected, leaving Go projects without editable build/test fields and workspace maintenance actions.
- Add project build constraints that update gopls in place, and notices on excluded files.
- Add editable Go Build and Go Test configurations with directory, package and file targets, separate tool and program arguments, modules, environment, output selection and build-only execution, and pass the same settings to Delve.
- Decode Go JSON test output into the results view, with subtests, failures, skips and rerun failed. Add gutter targets for benchmarks and generate directives.
- Add module environment and vendoring settings, read go.work members, and offer tidy, download, sync and use from file menus.
- Add file and package generate actions, and format and organize imports through gopls on Save and Reformat.
- Show what a Go program prints in the debug console: Delve's debuggee shares its stdio, which no DAP event carries.
- Keep the default build output out of version control, and keep configurations produced by an earlier run out of the gutter choices.

Deployment only supported SFTP, so a web root on the same machine or on a mounted share still needed an SSH server.
Servers now have a type: SFTP or Local or mounted folder. A local server has a folder and optional web URL and shares upload on save, upload and download, delete, compare and sync, excludes, mappings and the Remote Host view with SFTP through one backend filesystem. Copies never read the whole file into memory, a file is never copied onto itself, and Test Connection checks the folder exists and is writable. Existing servers stay SFTP.

The Color Scheme page only offered built-in schemes, so a scheme from another IDE could not be used.
Import reads .icls files into named custom schemes in user settings, reports applied and skipped values, and rejects malformed files. The Appearance selector and Quick Switch list custom schemes too.

Pasting or dropping an image into a Markdown editor saves it beside the document in `assets/` and inserts a URL-encoded relative link as one undo step, in local and remote projects. The Python interpreter widget published its shown flag from an effect that ran after the button rendered. A click landing in that window read it as false and opened Settings instead of the menu, which also made pythonStatus.test.tsx fail intermittently. The mouse shortcut recorder accepted only side buttons, so a modified left click such as Option+Command+click couldn't be assigned. Left clicks with Ctrl, Alt or Command now record and dispatch as mouse shortcuts (plain and Shift-only clicks, middle and right clicks keep their meaning; unbound combinations behave as before). In editors the caret moves to the clicked position before the action runs, so navigation targets the symbol under the pointer. The macOS keymap binds Option+Command+click to Go to Implementation(s).

Recent Eclipse JDT LS releases need Java 25 to run, so projects on JDK 21 had no Java language support until the user downloaded a newer JDK by hand. When JDT LS is about to start, no installed JDK is new enough, and no language-server JDK is set explicitly, the IDE now downloads the Temurin JRE of the required version (about 50 MB, falling back to the JDK image where no JRE build exists) with a cancellable background task, then starts the server on it. The runtime lives in its own folder under the app data directory, outside the roots scanned for project JDKs, so the project JDK, run configurations and JDT LS's project runtimes are unchanged. One download runs at a time across windows and is reused; a failed attempt falls back to the existing manual Download JDK action and is not retried until the next start.

Git no longer asks for the HTTPS user name and password on every fetch, pull and push. The password prompt offers "Remember for this host"; the credential is saved in the app's secret store (next to the saved SSH passwords, never in git's global configuration) only after the git command that used it succeeds, and a stored credential the server rejects is forgotten so the next command asks again. Settings › Version Control › Git lists saved credentials and forgets them.
Each git child gets its own id, passed to the askpass helper, so concurrent commands never save or forget each other's credentials. ide-vcs reports command completion through an observer installed at start-up instead of depending on ide-ssh. Credentials are keyed by scheme, host and port, and only git's authentication errors (Authentication failed, HTTP 401/403 responses, invalid username or password) forget a stored credential.

Adds Settings › Build Tools › Gradle: Gradle JVM (defaults to the Project JDK), distribution (wrapper or local installation with its home) and Gradle user home, stored in the project or global settings.
Sync and Gradle tool-window tasks use the configured JVM, launcher and GRADLE_USER_HOME. Run configurations keep their own choices: one that uses the wrapper runs gradlew, one that runs plain `gradle` resolves it from the local installation, then the pinned toolchain, then PATH; an explicit JAVA_HOME in the configuration wins over Gradle JVM. Derived defaults are applied at launch and not saved into run configurations. New Gradle configurations start with the wrapper off when the project uses a local installation.
