The Settings window ran its whole startup chain (importing every settings page, then the project and settings IPC, one after another) before opening the dialog, so it showed an empty title bar for a while on every open. The dialog now opens at once with a loading state while the pages and the settings load in parallel, and re-bases the open dialog when the settings arrive; the search field is focused once the pages are in.

Linux compositors draw no shadow for undecorated windows (Wayland has
no server-side decorations at all), so the frameless settings window is
indistinguishable from the desktop there — #595's follow-up after the
Windows DWM-shadow fix. Paint a 1px --border-window inset ring around
the window root: the webview draws the same hairline on every
windowing system.
An owned child (WS_POPUP) of a borderless parent gets no DWM shadow,
leaving the frameless settings window flat against its project window.
Ownership is already tracked by the settings-<parent> label (parent-close
cleanup in on_window_event, menu modality), so make the settings window
top-level on Windows; macOS and Linux keep the native parent link.
- Languages & Frameworks › Java › Language Server › JDK (languages.java.jdtlsJdk) runs jdtls on its own JDK, like IDEA's JDK for importer; the project keeps compiling and running with the Project JDK.
- Toolchain pages get the Global / This project switch (default This project); Global shows and edits the global layer.
- File › New Projects Setup › Settings for New Projects… edits only the global layer, which new projects inherit.
- Configuration errors (launch_error) show as "Not started" instead of "Crashed".
