Below the outgoing commits, the Push dialog lists the files they change: all outgoing commits' combined changes by default, or the selected commit's (Show All Commits goes back). Selecting a file shows its diff beside the tree inside the modal dialog. The multi-repository Push dialog does the same for the selected repository or commit.
With Mute Breakpoints on (remembered per project), every breakpoint was drawn as a hollow red circle, the disabled look. Muted breakpoints now use the grey muted icon; disabled ones keep the hollow circle. Method breakpoints and field watchpoints follow the same rule.
Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z in the Project view (and Edit › Undo while it has focus) reverts the latest file operation there: a delete as well as a move or rename. Deleted files come back from their last Local History snapshot, folders are re-created and the restored items selected; items without a snapshot are named in a warning. Edit › Undo reaches the view through a new registerUndoHandler contribution; the Project view is found by a data attribute instead of its translated aria-label (also fixes the New popup's fallback anchor).
While suspended, the debugger's expression fields complete from the debug adapter (DAP completions) in the selected frame: Evaluate, the Variables evaluate field and the Debug console share one hook. The list opens while typing an identifier or after '.', or on Ctrl+Space; Up/Down, Enter/Tab, Escape. The Evaluate dialog is resizable and its result tree grows with it. Backend: ide-dap completions (skipped without supportsCompletionsRequest), debug_completions on the host and the desktop app.
Switching the IDE theme kept an explicitly chosen editor color scheme, so a light theme could keep a dark editor. When the applied theme turns light or dark, a chosen scheme of the other kind now switches back to the theme's own; a scheme picked to go with the current theme is kept. Reacts to the applied theme, so Quick Switch, Settings, Welcome › Customize, other windows and Sync with OS are all covered.
A remote project's window gets the remote host's settings, which don't include this machine's SSH configurations, so the Remote Development dialog showed "No SSH configurations" there. The connection is made from this machine, so the dialog reads the local global SSH configurations and reloads them when settings change. Other SSH-configuration consumers run on the host and keep the host's settings.
Project view options such as "Open Files with Single Click" live in localStorage under openidea.projectTree.options, which was not on the export allowlist, so Export/Import Settings dropped them.
Other IDE-level preferences stored the same way are exported and restored too: TODO patterns, IdeaVim settings, diff/merge options, branches popup options, markdown and image viewer defaults, reopen last project. Per-project state stays out.
With a User or text filter, the Git Log graph opened a lane for every commit whose parent the filter hid; the lanes never closed and filled the graph with arrows, since git keeps the real parents for these filters.
The log now links each shown commit to its nearest shown ancestors, dashed where the link passes hidden commits (the date range and No Merges count as hidden there too); a page's last commits are linked by walking on past the page. Collapse Linear Branches keeps those dashed links.

Build › Build Project and Rebuild Project reported "no supported build system" in a CMake project. They now configure the build directory when needed and run cmake --build (--clean-first for Rebuild), with the directory and options of the first CMake profile, else a configured directory or build. GCC / Clang errors and warnings are reported at their source positions.
Fixes#873
Without a running language server (none configured for the language, or not installed, stopped or crashed), the editor showed no syntax errors at all, though the built-in parser already finds them. The editor now reports the parser's errors for such files, checked again after edits and when a language server starts or stops; while a server runs for the language it reports syntax errors itself. SQL is left to the database support. The check is the built-in Syntax errors inspection.
Fixes#824
Error, warning, weak-warning and typo underlines never showed on macOS, nor did underline effects of syntax tokens from a colour scheme: WebKit rejects a text-decoration shorthand with a style or colour (underline wavy <colour>), so the declaration fell back to none.
The editor's diagnostic and token styles also set -webkit-text-decoration, which WebKit takes the full value through; the red wavy underlines of the Problems, Build, Project and Database views use the longhand properties.
A plugin system built on WebAssembly components (wasmtime, WASI p2), with a
typed WIT API (`openidea:[email protected]`) and a Rust SDK, shipped as a preview.
- Extension points declared in `plugin.toml` (commands, languages, themes,
icon themes, menus, key bindings, status items, settings, views, custom
editors, file icons and templates, run detectors, editor providers),
validated before anything takes effect and projected onto the workbench's
own registries: plugin themes and file icon themes are chosen in
Settings › Appearance and Quick Switch, plugin shortcuts are edited in
Settings › Keymap, plugin problems are grouped in Settings › Inspections.
- Capabilities with risk levels and consent at install, pinned `process:`
programs, secrets in the OS keychain.
- Runtime: one thread per active plugin, fuel/time/memory budgets, soft and
hard deadlines on the editing path, cancellation, crash backoff, idle
reclaim, a precompiled-component cache; remote projects run code plugins on
`openidea-server`.
- Web views and custom editors with a sandboxed page, a document bridge
joined to the text editor's undo history, and split or preview layouts.
- Distribution: signed `.oiplugin` packages, a static marketplace index with
revocation, versioned installs with rollback, install from a `.zip` or a
folder. The release workflow signs and publishes the official plugins and
their index, which released builds use as the default marketplace.
- Official plugins: String Tools, Key Promoter, Git Toolbox, AI Completion,
Checkstyle, MyBatis Navigator, CSV Editor, Solidity, Material Icons, Harbor
Night, Excalidraw, Graphviz, Regex Tester, License Header.

A project folder that holds several git repositories without being one itself showed "No GitHub repository" in Pull Requests: every gh command ran in the project folder.
The GitHub remotes now come from each of the project's git repositories, and each remote remembers its repository. gh commands take the repository to run in (the primary one when none is given), and checkout, diff, worktree, merge, push, suggestions and new pull requests use the connected repository.
Fixes#812
Commit view › Group By gains "Staging State". When it is on, Changes splits into Staged Changes and Unstaged Changes; a partially staged file appears in both, and its diff compares HEAD with the Index under Staged and the Index with the working copy under Unstaged. The choice is remembered across sessions.

Only root Maven projects could be unlinked, and jdtls imports an aggregator with all of its modules whatever java.import.exclusions say. A module of a reactor can now be unlinked from the Maven tool window; when one is, jdtls gets initializationOptions.projectConfigurations listing the linked POMs except the aggregators above the unlinked module (plus the Gradle build file if there is one), and a Maven sync only names the POMs jdtls imported. Unlinking whole roots keeps using exclusions.
Fixes#767
Mapping paths had to be typed. The local path and deployment path cells now have a folder button: the local one picks a folder inside the project, the deployment one opens the server's folder chooser at its root path, and both fill in the path relative to their root (the deployment button needs an absolute root path).
Fixes#799
On macOS, with an editable element focused and an input method active, WebKit can deliver a tap as pointerup then pointerdown, so drag trackers saw every later pointermove as a held button: one tap plus a pointer move started a phantom drag (file drag label, tab detach, tool window move) and the next tap dropped it. A drag now starts only from a move with the primary button down, a move without it cancels the press, and late button-less moves after a drag started are ignored so the drop is kept. Resizers, dialog drag/resize, pan and the review gutter end instead; the Project view also listens for pointercancel.

The Gradle model came from a static parse of settings.gradle, which cannot follow includeFlat, projectDir assignments, computed include lists or included builds, so those modules were missing from the Gradle tool window, the Project view, indexing and run. Sync now runs an init script that prints every evaluated project (identity path, directory, build directory, source sets with test classification, Java version) without resolving dependencies; the static parser stays as the fallback before the first sync. Modules outside the root become content roots, the Project view lists the build's module group above the project folder, an unsynced Gradle build is imported once when opened, and staleness ignores comments and whitespace in build scripts.
Application / Spring Boot configurations of a Gradle module run through a JavaExec task on the source set's runtime classpath by default (Settings › Build Tools › Gradle › Build and run using), with the debugger attached to the forked JVM. The build model reaches run and the Project view through a platform store rather than a cross-feature import.

codemirror-vim only discards single-character IME commits in Normal mode, so multi-character commits (Chinese pinyin, Japanese conversions) were written into the document and could replace the selection. In Normal/Visual mode the composition now renders as usual and its whole span is restored when it ends; an ASCII single-character commit (dead keys) is replayed as a Vim key. Dragging a tab showed no floating copy: the ghost cloned the tab's classes, and .tab { position: relative } loaded after .ghost { position: fixed }. The ghost is now positioned inline, and a tab dragged within its strip stays as an empty slot the other tabs move around; the insertion line for tabs from another strip is drawn inside the edge tabs so the scroller doesn't clip it. A task's agent process lived until the task was archived or the project closed, and stopping it killed only the direct child, so wrappers (npx, codex.cmd, claude shims) left the real agent running. oxfmt ran only below an oxfmt configuration and reused the Prettier settings. It now has its own settings group and page (path, enabled languages, formatting provider, run on save) next to Prettier. For a language with an external formatter, oxfmt formats it when enabled for that language and either an oxfmt configuration is found above the file or oxfmt is the selected provider; otherwise Prettier, when enabled. Turning Prettier off for a language still leaves it to the language server. WebKit fires `dblclick` only for the second click of a burst. A quick
double-click right after another arrives as `click` with `detail` 3 and 4 and
no `dblclick`, so the second double-click on a folder in the Project view (and
on any tree row, tab or list item handled by `onDoubleClick`) did nothing.
A window-level shim now dispatches a `dblclick` on the click's target for every
later even click of a burst (detail 4, 6, ...), after the page's own click
handlers. Existing `onDoubleClick` handlers and their `stopPropagation` apply
unchanged; an engine that fires its own `dblclick` for that click gets it
dropped as a duplicate.
The Project view test now delivers bursts the way WebKit does (`dblclick` only
at detail 2) and checks both expand modes over 2–6 click bursts.
Refs #724
- List rows are no longer text-selectable. Settings pages enable text selection
for their content, and the shared List inherited it, so dragging or ⌘A
highlighted every row.
- An agent missing from PATH is shown as a muted row with a small "Not found"
label instead of an orange warning badge; a custom executable gets an accent
"Custom" label.
- The details header puts the status (with a status dot) and the launch command
on one line.
- Reset only appears when a custom executable is set.
- The sign-in hint gets its own "Sign in" heading.
- The list/details frame sizes to its content instead of filling the page.
The official Kotlin LSP answers navigation into a dependency with a
`jar:///…/lib.jar!/pkg/Name.class` URI but does not serve its contents through
`workspace/textDocumentContent`, so opening the target failed with "no
language server provides the contents of jar:…", locally and remotely.
`jar:` URIs are now resolved by the backend, where the jars are:
- An entry that is not a class (a sources jar entry, a resource) is read from
its archive.
- A class is shown as its source from the artifact's `-sources.jar` in the
Maven repository or the Gradle cache (`Name.java`/`Name.kt`, an inner
class's outer file, a `FileKt` facade's `File.kt`, a `@file:JvmName`
file); Go to Declaration then lands on the declaration of the name it was
invoked on.
- Otherwise the server's `decompile` command is used when it offers one, and
the error says that neither a source nor a decompiler is available.
- Library tabs name the archive and package (`spring-boot-3.5.16.jar ›
org.springframework.boot`).
Fixes#982
jdtls only checks the syntax of a Java file outside every module's source
folders (or outside any imported project) and answers navigation with
nothing. The editor then said only "Cannot find declaration to go to", and
the server's explanation was a warning squiggle on line 1.
- A banner above the editor explains it while the server reports it, for
jdtls (not on the classpath of a project / non-project file), gopls (no
package, build constraints — this replaces the Go-only banner) and
rust-analyzer (unlinked file). For Java it offers the Maven / Gradle reload
when available.
- Go to Declaration / Implementation / Type Declaration that finds nothing
in such a file gives the reason in its hint.
Fixes#827
The profiles checked in the Maven tool window only reached `mvn` (sync and
goal runs) and the Kotlin bridge. jdtls imported every module without them,
so a dependency whose version, or module, comes from a profile stayed
unresolved and its classes were reported as missing, while Build Project ran
without `-P` as well.
- A Maven sync records the profiles it ran with. jdtls gets a copy of the
user settings.xml with them in `<activeProfiles>` (m2e has no other input
for profiles), sent as a setting so a running server re-imports instead of
restarting; the file name follows its content so m2e reloads it.
- Toggling a profile reloads the Maven projects (once for several toggles in
a row, again after a sync that started with the previous choice).
- Build Project passes the synced profiles with `-P`.
- When jdtls finishes an import or project update it does not re-check open
files, so their errors stayed until the next edit; open Java files are now
re-checked on its ProjectStatus report. This also covers a POM edit or a
dependency added to ~/.m2.
Fixes#993
Settings › Tools › Agents is split into Built-in and ACP Registry tabs. The Built-in tab lists every built-in agent with its status (custom executable or not found on PATH) and, for the selected agent, its default launch line, an Executable field (empty = auto-detect on PATH) with Browse and Reset, and its sign-in hint. Edits are staged with the Settings dialog and written on Apply / OK; Cancel discards them.
The override is written to <config>/agents/<id>.toml, keeping hand-written name, driver, args and env; resetting a command-only override removes the file. AgentProvider now exposes the program, args, built-in defaults, login hint and whether the command is editable: built-ins started through a package runner (npx) and registry installs are read-only, with the reason shown.

On Windows, a project file named after a device (nul, con, aux, prn, com1-9, lpt1-9; nul is typically left by a 2>nul redirect in Git Bash) aborts the Java import: Files.exists reports it missing, Eclipse's refresh builds a child path with an empty name and throws "Path must include project and resource name", so m2e never creates the Java project.
When JDT LS reports that failure on Windows, the server root is scanned for reserved device names (bounded, ignore files not honoured) and a one-time error notification lists them with how to recover. The name check covers COM0-9/LPT0-9 including superscript digits, case-insensitive, with or without extension or trailing spaces. Backend notification texts now go through txTemplate so templated catalog entries translate; zh text added.

* fix(markdown): use editor-side tokens in the preview
The preview paints on var(--bg-editor) but took its text colors from
the UI tokens (--fg, --fg-strong, --fg-secondary), so with a light UI
theme plus a dark editor scheme (e.g. an imported dark .icls) it
rendered black-on-black. The code editor was unaffected because it
uses --fg-editor.

headings var(--syn-markup-heading), code/pre/th background
var(--bg-editor-inline), blockquote var(--fg-editor) at 80%.

`@{u}..HEAD` fatally fails when the tracking config remains but the
remote-tracking ref is gone (the upstream branch was deleted on the
remote and the fetch pruned): the repository was dropped from the
multi-repository Push dialog, or, when every repository failed, the
dialog showed the raw fatal and disabled Push. Fall back to recent
history like the single-repository dialog does, so the branch stays
listed and pushable (a plain push recreates the remote branch).
