Muuandmuutot 200ab10e65 refactor(lsp): register per-language semantics under lsp/semantic (#1687)
Python's highlighting hooks, member intentions and Implement Methods, and PHP's construct docs move under semantic/python and semantic/php behind a small registry of language-specific behaviour. Intentions now run only for the current document's language. Behaviour is otherwise unchanged; the generic language sets stay next to their users.

Arnaud Ritti 9e6cb7b93e feat(plugins): allow prompts while resolving code actions (#2025)
Closes #1945

Resolving a lazy code action or file action dropped the invoking window, so a plugin couldn't ask the user anything (input, pick, confirm) while building its edit. Resolution now runs with that window, so prompts work during resolution; previews and Actions on Save never prompt, cancellation keeps the text unchanged, and stale edits are rejected. WIT and SDK docs describe the new behaviour; the released API surface is unchanged.

l0ng-ai a40a909db5 feat(search): edit files in the Find in Files preview (#2031)
Closes #2004. The Find in Files preview was a read-only standalone view with its own copy of the file. It now attaches to the shared document the editor tabs use (editor/api attachDocument with shared history): edits show up in open tabs and mark them modified, undo/redo go through the text tab's history, Save works, and match highlights follow the edits. Library sources, archives, large/binary files stay read-only; Enter in the preview inserts a newline instead of opening the result.

Arnaud Ritti 668206ddfd feat(plugins): share project HTTP endpoints with the HTTP client (#1991)
Adds the API 1.3 `endpoints-provider` export and `[[contributes.endpoints]]` (file globs, ^1.3, `project.read`). A plugin's routes join the Spring ones in Search Everywhere, `.http` URL completion and the declaration's Open in HTTP Client gutter action. The UI asks `plugin_endpoints` on demand; the host runs the plugin on a blocking thread, validates the whole list (bounds, project-relative locations, UTF-16 ranges) and caches it per project until a file matching the globs changes, then emits `EndpointsChanged`. A failed or invalid run keeps the last list; disabling, crashing or closing the project withdraws it, and late results can't restore it. Closes #1960.

Jaw 352efc02a7 feat(angular): highlight inline templates and auto-close tags (#1897)
Angular component templates in @Component({ template }) were parsed as TypeScript strings, so template highlighting and tag closing never applied. TypeScript files in Angular projects (angular.json or @angular/core) now use an Angular TypeScript mode that mounts the Angular template parser on literal template strings; other strings and non-Angular projects are unchanged. Inline and external templates both close tags on /, with multiple cursors and undo.

Kamal ElFadlandelfadl 14a31fe8a1 feat(editor): add syntax highlighting for go.mod and go.work files (#1695)
go.mod and go.work opened as plain text: their language definitions had no ui-mode, so no CodeMirror language loaded. Add a GoMod mode (a small stream parser): directives as keywords, module paths as strings, versions as numbers, // comments; shared by go.mod and go.work.

l0ng-ai 5804fcad16 perf: speed up Angular typing, Git Log, console output and start-up; measure more interactions (#1901)
* perf(project-tree): measure row widths once per frame

The horizontal scroll range was measured in a layout effect on every render:
each pass forced layout, its setState re-rendered synchronously and measured
again, and the ResizeObserver was recreated each time, firing once more.
Expanding a 10k-entry folder went from ~26 ms to ~63 ms.

Keep one observer per tree and coalesce renders and resizes into a single
measurement on the next animation frame. Expanding is back to ~30 ms and
arrow-key p50 drops from 3.3 ms to 1.7 ms; the widths behave as before.

* perf(github): load the pull requests integration after start-up

Actions, the tool window and the timeline editor stay registered at start-up;
their implementations, the connection and review-mode tracking load on idle
or on first use. Takes ~60 KB gzip off the initial bundle.

* perf(templates): load Emmet when an HTML or stylesheet editor opens

The Emmet engine (~70 KB minified) was part of the initial bundle; it now loads
with the first editor that can expand abbreviations, or with Update Tag with Emmet.

* perf(search, run): load popups and Edit Configurations when first shown

Search Everywhere, Find in Files, the recent files/locations popups, File
Structure and the Run/Debug Configurations dialog were part of the initial
bundle although each only renders while open. `lazyWhen` mounts a lazy view
only while its condition holds; the idle prefetch still loads them right after
start-up, so opening one stays as fast.

* perf: load dialogs, the SQL console and diff views on first use

- Database dialogs, Assign Shortcut and the Logcat tool window load when shown.
- The SQL console extensions load with the first SQL editor
(`lazyEditorExtension` reconfigures the editor once they arrive).
- The changes tree loads the diff viewer when a file is selected, and
"Open Repository Log" loads the revision browser when run.

* perf: load plugin, debugger and project popups when first shown

The IntelliJ theme import, the debugger's popovers and dialogs and the title
bar's project popup now load when first opened. `lazyWhen` keeps a view
mounted once shown, so its own open/closed handling is unchanged.

* perf(angular): parse only text with Angular syntax as Angular

Every text node of a template got its own nested Angular parse, including
the whitespace between tags, which is most of them. Text without a `{`, `}`
or `@` holds no interpolation or block, so it stays HTML text. A full parse
of a 12k-line template takes about a fifth less work.

* perf(angular): reuse nested trees of unchanged text and attributes

An edit makes the mixed parser recreate many text and attribute nodes it
does not keep: the document's own text and the nodes up to the viewport. It
reuses nested trees only of nodes it kept, so each of those was parsed again
as Angular on every keystroke (~170 nested parses per key in a 12k-line
template). Their parse depends only on their text, so the trees are now
remembered by text, up to about 2M characters.

Typing in the middle of a 12k-line template: main thread per key 57 -> 22 ms,
p50 latency 30 -> 19.5 ms, no long tasks.

* perf: budget typing in a large Angular template

* perf: measure code completion over a 2,000-item list

The harness's probe can answer completion with generated items through the
command route; language server requests go through a route when one is
installed, not only under Tauri. The scenario opens the popup by typing,
narrows it letter by letter and moves the selection, with budgets for each.

* perf(run): show a flood of console output at most every 50 ms

While a process printed thousands of lines a second, the Run console
appended, re-rendered and laid out on every frame, so typing in an editor
meanwhile missed the next frame 35% of the time. A line after a quiet spell
still shows on the next frame; a flood now updates the console at ~20 Hz,
and typing during it misses 2-5% (p50 16 -> 9.7 ms) with the output done as
fast as before.

The performance harness gets a scenario for it: 50,000 log lines at 200 a
frame (a dev and perf build action, run.sampleOutput) while typing.

* perf(vcs): keep Git Log rows from re-rendering on every selection change

Commit rows were memoized but received a new Set and new closures on every
render, so moving the selection re-rendered every visible row, and each row
built a new Intl.DateTimeFormat for its date. Rows now get stable handlers and
shared remote-name sets, and date formatting reuses cached formatters.

* perf: measure the Git Log and splitter dragging

gitLog shows 20k generated commits served page by page through a fake vcs_log,
walks the selection with the arrow keys and wheel-scrolls the list.
resizePanels drags the side and bottom splitters with an editor, the Project
tree and the Log open. The perf probe's fake backends can now be combined.

* perf: translate the sample output action and keep fake completion details out of the text catalog

* perf(vcs): keep Git Log scrolling smooth as pages load

Each page of the log recomputed hidden long edges by scanning every row once per
lane, and the store laid out the whole graph a second time for fields nothing
read. Long edges are now found in one pass over the rows, the unused store graph
is gone, and the next page is requested while a page of rows is still ahead so
fast scrolling doesn't reach the end before git answers. The commit list also
contains its layout, so rows entering while scrolling no longer relay out the
workbench.

* perf: load the Git Log scenario's pages with git's latency and scroll across several

Muuandmuutot 715ebf19e2 fix(spelling): keep dictionary saves on read-only documents (#1756)
Typo quick fixes vanished entirely in read-only documents (library sources, stubs such as pyrefly's bundled typeshed), although saving a word to the project or application dictionary only writes settings. Only the in-place Change to…/Rename to… fix now needs a writable document; Save 'word' to dictionary and its per-level submenu are offered everywhere.

Pedro Pessoa c004e50751 fix(editor): let plugin completions and definitions own the strings they answer (#1364)
Inside PHP strings, plugin completions were buried under project file paths and go to definition mixed the plugin's answer with the server's guesses and with IDE helper stubs. Now path items are left out when a plugin answered at that position, and in PHP and Blade paths only show once the string reads like a path. Inside a string literal (checked on the document's syntax tree) plugin definitions replace the server's; elsewhere both are kept, the plugin's first, so e.g. MyBatis mapper navigation still offers jdtls' answer. Generated helpers (_ide_helper*.php, .phpstorm.meta.php, vendor/_laravel_ide*) give way to real declarations, an empty plugin answer is marked incomplete so typing asks again, and a callable accepted before a closing quote no longer gets ().

Jaw daac8e80b0 fix(editor): show usage counts when the project finishes loading at launch (#1809)
Usage counts asked while a language server loads the project come back incomplete and were re-asked only after a busy spell of 1.5 s or more, seen from the editor's own mount. An editor restored at launch mounts while its server starts, so it missed the spell's start, and a short load (vtsls loads a small project in about a second) never counted. Server spells are now followed once from app start, and the spell right after a start counts as loading whatever its length; later short spells are still ignored so request progress (jdtls) doesn't loop. The implementations gutter shares the same settle signal.

arookieofc 61b12269a1 fix(editor): Copy Reference emits bare member name, '#' for Kotlin/Scala (#1894)
Two inconsistencies with IDEA's Copy Reference (#1892):

- A language server may bake a signature into a callable's outline name
(jdtls returns DocumentSymbol.name = 'getUserById(int)', the params also
duplicated in detail). The reference then came out as
  'pkg.UserService#getUserById(int)' instead of 'pkg.UserService#getUserById'.
Strip the '(…)' suffix for function/method/constructor symbols via a new
declaredName() helper, applied at both chain-mapping sites in
  resolveReference.

- Kotlin and Scala joined the whole chain with '.', producing
  'pkg.UserService.getUserById' where IDEA emits 'pkg.UserService#getUserById'.
Route them through the same jvmReference() as Java/Groovy so members are
separated from the type path by '#'.

Added tests for both cases and the signature stripping.

Vadim LazukandInf1mum 0ac3f82dfb fix(editor): cover edge cases of multiline paste with multiple cursors (#1853)
dispatchPaste spread the clipboard only when the line count equaled the
caret count and pasted the whole block at every caret otherwise. Follow
IntelliJ's ClipboardTextPerCaretSplitter instead: caret i gets line i,
extra carets get an empty insert, lines beyond the caret count are
dropped, and a single line repeats at every caret unchanged (a lone
trailing newline stays a single line).

arookieofc 58f567c954 fix(spelling): merge the two dictionary saves into one row (#1833)
A typo listed "Save to project-level dictionary" and "Save to
application-level dictionary" as two rows, each with the same →
submenu of both again — four ways to trigger two actions. The popup

project dictionary (application-level without a project); its →
submenu still offers each level, then the inspection controls.

arookieofc ef95cd1716 fix(editor): paste one line per caret when the counts match (#1830)
* fix(editor): paste one line per caret when the counts match

Multi-caret paste inserted the whole clipboard at every caret: seven
carets and a six-line clipboard produced six full copies inside the
first pair of quotes and left the rest untouched.

When the clipboard has exactly one line per caret, each caret now gets
its own line — the JetBrains behavior the issue expects. Any other
count still pastes the full text at every caret. Shared by all three
paste entry points (normal, plain text, history) through dispatchPaste.

Jaw d984695e79 fix(project-tree): search a file's own symbols, not its package, in Safe Delete and Find Usages (#1688)
Safe Delete and Find Usages on a file searched every top-level outline item, including a Java `package` declaration. References to the package are imports of any class in it, so deleting an unused class reported its siblings' usages as its own.

Packages and namespaces are shared with other files, so their members are searched in their place (Java packages, C++/C#/PHP namespaces). Modules a file declares itself (a TypeScript namespace, a Rust `mod`) are still searched as before.

l0ng-ai 09c0af504e perf(agents): switch back to a long conversation without rebuilding it (#1710)
Agent task tabs now stay mounted while another tab is active (the five most
recently used per pane). A hidden one skips rendering with
content-visibility: hidden, which keeps its layout and scroll offset, so
showing it again costs a few milliseconds instead of building and laying out
the whole conversation. Hidden tabs don't mark their task read and close Find.

Thinking blocks and tool output now sit in a wrapper that skips off-screen
layout like other entries; on <details> itself WebKit wouldn't expand them,
so they were laid out in full on every resize and reopen.

qiaojianlong c4b87ae09e perf(java): prewarm configuration navigation and share results between hover and click (#947)
Configuration navigation from YAML/properties still waited for a cold index the first
time and repeated the lookup between the ⌘-hover probe and the click.

- Trusted projects with a Maven/Gradle/Eclipse build file start Java shortly after
opening. Once JDT reports ServiceReady, the app calls the new
  openidea.java.configuration.warmup command: a low-priority background job builds
the configuration index one project at a time (open YAML/properties modules first),
waits for workspace builds, has a 30 s budget per project, and only fills free cache
  room.
- Index builds take a cancellable per-project lock instead of one global lock, so a
background build never delays another project, and a warmed snapshot is dropped
if the Java model changed meanwhile.
- In YAML/properties the editor underlines the whole key (hyphens and dots
included), hover and Go to Definition share one bounded request per key, and the
declaration chooser names the whole key.

Bundle java-usages 1.6.0 is rebuilt reproducibly with build.py against JDT LS
1.63.0-202610191322 (SHA-256 33cfa1bb…). The real-JDT harness checks that the first
lookup reuses the warmed index.

qiaojianlong ed08b96382 feat(plugins): add background document-indexer API (#1021)
Plugin API 1.2 gains an optional document-indexer export (plugin-indexing world). A plugin returns per document the keys it defines and refers to, aliases between key prefixes and gutter markers; the host indexes a trusted project in cancellable background batches, keeps the project-wide graph, and answers Go to Declaration / Ctrl-click and multi-target gutter markers from memory without calling the plugin again. Edits and file changes invalidate the affected entries; reload, disable or a failing runtime drops the plugin's graph.

The interface is limited to cross-file associations: icons chosen by file content and embedded-language regions are separate concerns for later interfaces. The plugin navigation choosers' titles are translated.

When not complete, the chooser opens with the project's implementations (searching…) through the new lsp_goto_implementation channel and fills in the dependencies' when the standard request ends; closing it cancels the search.

a275239138 feat(python): support Ruff formatting and config directories (#1573)
Ruff is now an external formatter for Python next to the Ruff language server: Settings › Languages & Frameworks › Ruff has the executable path, a configuration directory (or file), the provider preference, enabled languages, run-on-save, and Reformat with Ruff. The configuration directory is shared with Ruff LSP, which can then start without a root marker. Tools that can't format a language are rejected even when requested.

Python defaults diverged in several places: built-ins used the predefined magenta, __init__/__doc__ used function/self colours, instance fields the property colour, f-strings and byte strings the generic string colour, and the PEP 695 type keyword was uncoloured. Python now has its own tokens for built-ins, predefined definitions/usages, f-strings and byte strings; instance fields follow identifiers; type is a keyword. Unused parameters (not reported by Pyrefly) are greyed by a scope-aware local check that skips self/cls/_ names and signatures dictated elsewhere: stubs, @abstractmethod/@overload/@override, dunder methods and methods of classes with bases.

rectangles, indent guides showed as short dashes inside a selection,
and a breakpoint or execution line hid the selection past its text.

- Snap selection rectangle edges to device pixels so stacked pieces
  share one edge.
- Paint caret-row, breakpoint and execution line backgrounds on a
  pseudo-element below the selection layer.
- Draw indent guides on a pseudo-element above the text.

* test(e2e): check the visible selection layer in the theme flow

l0ng-ai 292dc3cade fix(editor): log why an edit was rejected before the editor drops it (#1569)
When the backend rejects an edit for any reason other than a stale version, the editor replaces its unsaved text with the file's content, but the reason was only printed to the webview console. The backend now logs the rejected edit with its path, and the editor writes the sync error and the discarded edits to the log file, so reports of edits that roll back (#1530, #1522) can be diagnosed from the log.

Muuandmuutot d4a5b54720 feat(editor): add PyCharm-style Python semantic highlighting (#1523)
Python files got semantic colours only once the language server answered, and locals, globals, instance and class attributes, constants, properties and type parameters all looked the same. A highlighter on the Lezer syntax tree now colours them right away in PyCharm's finer categories (also self, builtins, decorators, definitions, method calls, brackets); LSP semantic tokens stay authoritative when they arrive. The categories are new --syn-python-* theme tokens wired through the built-in themes and Harbor Night, and PyCharm .icls schemes import their PY.* attributes.

Jaw 324dded5c1 feat(vcs): mark diff and merge changes on the scrollbar (#1519)
The diff and merge viewers had no overview lane, so changes outside the viewport were invisible. The scrollbar now marks every change, coloured by type (modified, inserted, deleted, conflict), in the side-by-side view (both panes), the aligned view (one stripe over the shared scroller), the unified view and the three-way merge editor; clicking a mark jumps to the change. Marks span the lane's width from the first to the last changed line with a 2px minimum. The colours are new --diff-*-stripe theme tokens (Darcula, Light and High-contrast values), mapped from ERROR_STRIPE_COLOR on .icls import and set in the Harbor Night theme template.

胡翀andzzxzz12345 df27de217e fix(editor): copy references to resolved methods (#1531)
Copy Reference on a call site now resolves the method through Go to Definition and copies its qualified name (crate::Inventory::add in Rust, the dotted module path in Python, and so on); positions without an unambiguous method target copy the project-relative path and line, as before. The clipboard write starts during the key press with a ClipboardItem whose text resolves later, because WebKit rejects a write started after the asynchronous lookup; without ClipboardItem it writes plain text once known. Python module paths also drop everything up to the last src/ directory, for monorepo layouts.

lleviathe bff5d11346 fix(editor): navigate on force click instead of opening macOS Look Up (#1515)
On macOS a force click on an identifier opened the system Look Up popover instead of navigating, and the popover appeared over any text in the UI, because the webview never handled WebKit's force-touch events. The input dispatcher now cancels webkitmouseforcewillbegin in every window, and the editor treats an unmodified webkitmouseforcedown like a Cmd-click (Go to Declaration or Usages). Look Up via three-finger tap or Ctrl-Cmd-D still works.

Jaw 50986088f9 feat(editor): Copy Reference copies path:line unless the caret is on a declaration's name (#1507)
Copy Reference used the outline symbols enclosing the caret, so anywhere inside a method it copied the method's qualified name and the line was lost. It now names a symbol only with the caret on a declaration's name (its selection range) and copies `path:line` everywhere else, for every language. The `package …;` symbol jdtls reports is no longer qualified, so that line copies `path:1`.

l0ng-ai ac436160b5 fix(editor): keep YAML highlighting after comment lines in longer files (#1489)
In some YAML files over about a kilobyte, a mapping that follows comment lines
lost its highlighting from the second comment to the end of the mapping. The
YAML parser (@lezer/yaml with @lezer/lr) can give that mapping node an inverted
range when it falls on a tree buffer boundary (1024 entries by default), and
highlighting skips the whole node. The YAML mode now parses into buffers of
65536 entries, so ordinary YAML files stay in one buffer and never hit the
boundary.

Mariano Dupontandmarianomd 8dedf5e73b fix(themes): preserve language-specific ICLS styles (#1457)
Importing a PhpStorm .icls applied Java/Kotlin keys and PHP-only colours to every language, so PHP variables, strings and punctuation came out wrong. Java, Kotlin and PHP attributes are now kept per language (Color Scheme lists them under their own nodes, and editors scope them by data-language), explicit attribute inheritance is resolved, an explicit TextAttributes value resets omitted bold/italic, the light/dark parent follows the scheme's background, and PHP classes, method declarations, fields, brackets and separators get their own tags. Selecting a language attribute in Settings previews that language's colours.

l0ng-ai 7856fabbfe fix(editor): keep selected text visible over highlighted ranges (#1454)
The selection is drawn in a layer behind the text, so any range with its own background (find
matches, warnings in light schemes, usages, semantic backgrounds) hid it: selected text there
kept its yellow or other highlight. Selected text is now also marked in the innermost span with
the selection colour, in text editors, notebook cells and the VCS viewers.

黄贵波 a083571537 fix(editor): let the overview lane own the editor's vertical scrollbar (#1449)
The overview lane sat over the scrollbar with pointer-events: none and is 12px wide, the native scrollbar 10px: a press on the lane's edge, or where marks covered the thumb, reached the text layer and dragged a text selection instead of scrolling. The lane now owns the vertical scrollbar, as IntelliJ's error stripe does: the native one is hidden, the lane's thumb drags (with the same geometry it is drawn with), and a press above or below the thumb pages the editor. Marks still jump to their line.

ntbang0901 02d30b1609 fix(editor): keep the caret and view when a file changes in distant places (#1329)
Document::diff only trimmed the common prefix and suffix, so two distant
edits on disk became one change spanning everything between them. The
caret and scroll position inside that span were mapped to its start,
which made the editor jump to the first edit after an agent, formatter
or git operation rewrote the file.

Diff the changed middle line by line (Myers via similar, 50 ms deadline
with a coarser fallback) and emit one change per edited region, trimmed
to its differing characters. The frontend DocSync path produces the same
per-region changes, so external reloads, local history restores and
formatting keep the caret and view in place.

l0ng-ai d5c4066748 feat(editor): colour global variables (the semantic global modifier) (#1393)
lua-language-server marks globals with the `global` token modifier, but
the editor dropped it, so a global variable looked like a local unless
rainbow highlighting was on. The modifier now sets `cm-sem-global`, drawn
in a new Language Defaults › Identifiers › Global variable colour
(`--syn-global`): library globals keep the predefined colour and calls the
function-call colour. Imported IntelliJ themes and .icls schemes take it
from DEFAULT_GLOBAL_VARIABLE. Built-in schemes default it to the local
variable colour (IntelliJ's fallback for the key), so they look as before
until a scheme sets it.

fuqiuluoandfuqiuluo 948e93e1a2 fix(search): Find / Replace in Files popup layout, footer and platform shortcuts (#1227)
The Find / Replace in Files popup gets the popup surface and spacing,
the match count and empty states ("Clear option(s)"), the footer with
"Open results in new tab", a resizable popup with a remembered results /
preview split, file mask suggestions from the project's file types
(new index_file_extensions), mnemonics and inline icons. Shortcuts are
spelled for the platform: Linux showed macOS glyphs in the popup, the
shared SearchField, the find bars and Search Everywhere. Replace keeps
its Preview diff.

Shohruh Ismoilovandshohruh-genius 9f2e6b570f feat(vcs): correct Git log graph projection and expand history views (#1076)
Git Log could lose commits when filtering by several paths, draw wrong
ancestry after filtering or collapsing rows, and open the wrong
repository in multi-root views. The graph is now projected over the full
commit DAG and laid out in Bek order, so filtered and collapsed views keep
the real ancestry; each log view keeps its own filters and requests.

Commit metadata, messages and path changes are kept in a persistent index
(by object id, in the IDE's cache directory) with seekable paging, and the
log gains parent-aware merge comparisons, a lazy revision browser,
read-only logs of repositories outside the project (opened with command
execution disabled), commit bookmarks, configurable built-in columns and
batched commit details. The adapted IntelliJ algorithms are attributed in
THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md.
