Adds API 1.3 `ui.notify(level, title, body, actions) -> result<_, error>`: up to three buttons, each running one of the plugin's declared commands with an optional argument in the balloon's window and dismissing the balloon. An invalid action or an undeclared command fails the call and shows nothing. The plugin `Notification` event carries the actions; SDK `host::notify_with_actions` and `NotificationAction`. Closes#1955.

Adds API 1.3 `ui.pick-directory` (native folder chooser, same window/budget rules as `pick`) and `workspace.open-project(path, new-window)`, which goes through the normal File › Open flow with its trust prompt, window reuse and unsaved-change handling. Paths are absolute on the UI machine and validated by the host whatever its OS. Closes#1959.

Closing the tab that hosts a fullscreen project group ended its Space first, so macOS showed the desktop for about a second before the next tab's Space opened. Once the close is confirmed, the next tab now enters its own fullscreen Space first and the host closes after it, so the screen moves straight to it.
A plugin title, label or message equal to IDE text ("Pick", "Log", "Refresh") was translated by the IDE catalog. Primitives now translate given text through useGivenTx, which returns it as written below VerbatimTextContext (plugin views, service panes, status items, prompts); plugin commands, tool windows, menu labels and notifications carry a verbatim flag. Command categories and the IDE's own words stay translated.
Import Settings… also accepts a JetBrains settings.zip: colour schemes (and the current one), editor font, size, line spacing and ligatures, trailing-space stripping, final newline, sticky lines, whitespace, soft wraps and confirm-on-exit are mapped after a confirmation; keymaps, code styles, live templates, inspections and plugins are listed as not imported.

A plugin opts a table into click-to-sort by sending it as view body other(kind "table") with its sort; a header click comes back as view-event other(kind "sort", {column, descending}), so no released WIT type changes. The SDK builds and decodes both (Body::sortable_table, ViewEvent::sort). Headers are keyboard-operable, carry aria-sort and show the reported order with an arrow.

* perf(project-tree): measure row widths once per frame
The horizontal scroll range was measured in a layout effect on every render:
each pass forced layout, its setState re-rendered synchronously and measured
again, and the ResizeObserver was recreated each time, firing once more.
Expanding a 10k-entry folder went from ~26 ms to ~63 ms.
Keep one observer per tree and coalesce renders and resizes into a single
measurement on the next animation frame. Expanding is back to ~30 ms and
arrow-key p50 drops from 3.3 ms to 1.7 ms; the widths behave as before.
* perf(github): load the pull requests integration after start-up
Actions, the tool window and the timeline editor stay registered at start-up;
their implementations, the connection and review-mode tracking load on idle
or on first use. Takes ~60 KB gzip off the initial bundle.
* perf(templates): load Emmet when an HTML or stylesheet editor opens
The Emmet engine (~70 KB minified) was part of the initial bundle; it now loads
with the first editor that can expand abbreviations, or with Update Tag with Emmet.
* perf(search, run): load popups and Edit Configurations when first shown
Search Everywhere, Find in Files, the recent files/locations popups, File
Structure and the Run/Debug Configurations dialog were part of the initial
bundle although each only renders while open. `lazyWhen` mounts a lazy view
only while its condition holds; the idle prefetch still loads them right after
start-up, so opening one stays as fast.
* perf: load dialogs, the SQL console and diff views on first use
- Database dialogs, Assign Shortcut and the Logcat tool window load when shown.
- The SQL console extensions load with the first SQL editor
(`lazyEditorExtension` reconfigures the editor once they arrive).
- The changes tree loads the diff viewer when a file is selected, and
"Open Repository Log" loads the revision browser when run.
* perf: load plugin, debugger and project popups when first shown
The IntelliJ theme import, the debugger's popovers and dialogs and the title
bar's project popup now load when first opened. `lazyWhen` keeps a view
mounted once shown, so its own open/closed handling is unchanged.
* perf(angular): parse only text with Angular syntax as Angular
Every text node of a template got its own nested Angular parse, including
the whitespace between tags, which is most of them. Text without a `{`, `}`
or `@` holds no interpolation or block, so it stays HTML text. A full parse
of a 12k-line template takes about a fifth less work.
* perf(angular): reuse nested trees of unchanged text and attributes
An edit makes the mixed parser recreate many text and attribute nodes it
does not keep: the document's own text and the nodes up to the viewport. It
reuses nested trees only of nodes it kept, so each of those was parsed again
as Angular on every keystroke (~170 nested parses per key in a 12k-line
template). Their parse depends only on their text, so the trees are now
remembered by text, up to about 2M characters.
Typing in the middle of a 12k-line template: main thread per key 57 -> 22 ms,
p50 latency 30 -> 19.5 ms, no long tasks.
* perf: budget typing in a large Angular template
* perf: measure code completion over a 2,000-item list
The harness's probe can answer completion with generated items through the
command route; language server requests go through a route when one is
installed, not only under Tauri. The scenario opens the popup by typing,
narrows it letter by letter and moves the selection, with budgets for each.
* perf(run): show a flood of console output at most every 50 ms
While a process printed thousands of lines a second, the Run console
appended, re-rendered and laid out on every frame, so typing in an editor
meanwhile missed the next frame 35% of the time. A line after a quiet spell
still shows on the next frame; a flood now updates the console at ~20 Hz,
and typing during it misses 2-5% (p50 16 -> 9.7 ms) with the output done as
fast as before.
The performance harness gets a scenario for it: 50,000 log lines at 200 a
frame (a dev and perf build action, run.sampleOutput) while typing.
* perf(vcs): keep Git Log rows from re-rendering on every selection change
Commit rows were memoized but received a new Set and new closures on every
render, so moving the selection re-rendered every visible row, and each row
built a new Intl.DateTimeFormat for its date. Rows now get stable handlers and
shared remote-name sets, and date formatting reuses cached formatters.
* perf: measure the Git Log and splitter dragging
gitLog shows 20k generated commits served page by page through a fake vcs_log,
walks the selection with the arrow keys and wheel-scrolls the list.
resizePanels drags the side and bottom splitters with an editor, the Project
tree and the Log open. The perf probe's fake backends can now be combined.
* perf: translate the sample output action and keep fake completion details out of the text catalog
* fix(run): keep flushing console output when the window hides mid-wait
* test(e2e): ignore the TODO index's scan when checking the Find in Files query
* feat(settings): JetBrains-style color scheme sub-pages
Move General, Debugger, Language Defaults and each language onto its
own page under Color Scheme, drop the redundant scope root from the
attribute tree, and turn the Color Scheme root page into a landing
with links to the sub-pages.
* feat(settings): per-scope preview samples with click-to-reveal
Give every scope page a code sample covering as much of its token set
as possible, render bg-only attributes in the preview, and let a click
on a preview token select its attribute and expand its tree ancestors.
* refactor(settings): fold attribute name groups into collapsible tree levels
Split the "›" groups of an attribute display name (Identifiers, String,
Comments, ...) into collapsible intermediate nodes so the tree matches
IDEA instead of repeating the group in every leaf label.
* feat(editor): preview the scheme's actual attribute state in settings
Attribute controls now mirror the scheme's effective appearance instead
of only showing user overrides: checkboxes and colours resolve imported
scheme values, theme tokens and built-in defaults. Removing an inherited
colour stores an explicit transparent override instead of falling back
silently, and redundant overrides matching the inherited value are
dropped. Also drops the stale "Incoming commits" catalog key.
* feat(settings): move the effect style onto its own right-aligned row
Put the effect checkbox and its colour on one line and the style
select on a narrower row below, right-aligned with the hex fields,
which now stretch to the panel edge.
* refactor(settings): render attribute tree labels in the plain font
Drop the per-token styling of the tree labels; IDEA lists them as
normal text, the preview keeps the colours.
* feat(settings): scroll the attribute tree to a preview-clicked token
Preview clicks now also reveal the attribute: after the ancestors
expand, the tree selects the row and centres it in the viewport.
* feat(settings): mark overridden attributes in blue up to the root
Show overridden attributes and every group containing one in the
accent colour, like IDEA, instead of a dot on the leaf alone.
* feat(settings): use the JetBrains demo as the Python preview and reveal cross-page tokens
Replace the Python sample with the classic syntax-highlighting demo (semantic
spectrum, f-strings, byte strings, escapes) while keeping coverage for every
Python attribute. Preview tokens outside the current sub-page now navigate to
their owning page and reveal the attribute there.
* fix(settings): keep locale entries, English preview text and default styles in the colour scheme preview
- Restore the "Incoming commits" translations that were dropped from other locales
- Replace the Chinese docstring lines in the Python preview with English text
- Use the existing Java operator attribute for separators in the Java preview
- Render default bold, italic and underline in the preview, matching the editor

* feat(plugin): multi-line text input via ui.input-multiline
Adds host::input_multiline: a multi-line text dialog pre-filled with a
value, dismissed to none, confirmed with Cmd/Ctrl+Enter. Same rules as
input (command or event of a window, no capability, wait not charged).
Prompt::Input gains a multiline flag the frontend renders as a
textarea; the jobs fixture, SDK (wasm + mock), WIT and the plugin API
table are updated, and all plugin wasms rebuilt.
Fixes#1946
* chore: regenerate bindings after merging detail-provider rename
Context menu entries of a plugin can name a submenu on [[contributes.menus]] (editor, Project view, editor tab and view item menus; API 1.3): entries with the same submenu are grouped under it, a submenu with one visible entry stays a plain entry, and the label goes through the plugin's translations. Opt-in rather than by command category, since the category is the Find Action/keymap prefix and many plugins share one across all commands.
Co-authored-by: lidwt721 <[email protected]>
A package's locales/<tag>.json (English source text -> translation) is applied to the plugin's own manifest titles and labels and to its view data; new ui.locale() (API 1.3) returns the UI language for text the plugin builds itself. Catalogs only ever apply to their own plugin; text without an entry stays English.

Plugin API 1.3 adds what commit-message generators and before-commit checks need:
- `menu = "commit.message"`: a plugin command, with the plugin's icon, in the toolbar above the commit message of the Commit tool window and the Commit dialog.
- `commit.pending-commit()` (`vcs.read`): what Commit would commit right now, per file its repository, path, status and a `git diff` of only the included files and changed blocks against HEAD (1 MiB in all), plus the message, Amend and a revision. The diff is made by the same selection the commit uses, in a copy of the index, so the index and the working tree stay as they are; unsaved editors of the included files are saved first, as Commit does. Only in trusted projects.
- `commit.set-commit-message(revision, message)` (`vcs.write`): replaces the message only while the draft is still at that revision, so text the user typed meanwhile is never overwritten (`stale`).
- `[[contributes.commitChecks]]` and the optional `commit-checker` export (worlds `plugin-commit-checks` / `commit-checks`): checks listed in Commit Options (on by default, `vcs.commit.disabledPluginChecks` turns them off) and run after the IDE's own; their problems, optionally with a location, stop the commit until Commit Anyway.
The window answers the host through `CommitRequested` / `plugin_answer_commit`, also for remote windows. The Rust SDK gains `host::pending_commit`, `host::set_commit_message`, `openidea_plugin::commit` and their mock; a `commit` test fixture exercises them. All components are rebuilt for the WIT change.

pest_qn:// hints are read and test tree reruns filter Pest tests by name.
Dragging the Git Log scrollbar through a long history stuttered and showed
blank rows: the native scrollbar scrolls asynchronously in WebKit, so the
virtual list rendered rows a frame or more after the new offset was painted.
The list now uses a scrollbar drawn in the DOM (`Scrollbar` in `src/ui`) that
sets the offset from pointer events and notifies scroll listeners at once, so
the virtualizer renders the matching rows before the next paint. Rows are
keyed by slot so a large jump updates the mounted rows instead of rebuilding
them, overscan is lowered, and rows rendered mid-scroll draw their graph
without edge hit targets, which come back once scrolling stops.
Adds a `gitLogScrollbar` perf scenario with budgets.
Stripe icon buttons were 28px with a 2px gap, plus an extra gap at each group boundary, and their 20px icons were drawn at 18px, off the pixel grid. Stripe buttons are now 30px and repeat at the title bar's height (40px, 32px compact), so the title bar's Settings button reads as the right stripe's first one; the empty drop slot after a group no longer adds a gap. Stripe, title bar and Run widget icons render at 20px.

is gone, and the next page is requested while a page of rows is still ahead so

The New Branch dialog refused any existing local name, so a branch could not be moved to a selected commit. When the name matches a local branch of the target repository, the dialog now offers an unchecked Overwrite existing branch option (git switch -C / git branch --force); the consent clears when the name changes, and Git's checkout checks keep the old tip and local changes if switching fails. New Branch from a Git Log commit also targets that commit's repository in a multi-repository project.

Stop flipped the session back to Run as soon as the direct child exited, but a shell, Maven or the debug adapter can exit while the application it started still holds its port, so the next Run failed with "port already in use". The console also went quiet on a debug Stop because the DAP session was disconnected before java-debug drained the program's output, and closing a window killed running programs with SIGKILL at once.
Run and Debug sessions now stay in a stopping state from the Stop press until the whole process group (or the debuggee's pid tree) is gone. As in IntelliJ IDEA, the first Stop only interrupts and waits, and a second Stop kills; the Stop button turns into Kill process meanwhile. A rerun or restart waits for the old process without a time limit, and the termination time limit setting now only bounds a configuration's stop command. Debug launches record the program pid from the adapter's process/processid event, signal its pid tree and keep the adapter attached until the program exits; closing a project also stops debug sessions under its root. Closing a window with running programs shows a Terminating panel with Kill process and closes once they are gone.

A plugin view declared with `location = "services"` (plugin API 1.3, `engines.openidea ^1.3`) shows its tree in the Services tool window, next to Docker and the run configurations. The nodes, the toolbar (acting on one selected node) and their events come from `view-provider`; `viewItem.context` menus give the nodes a right-click menu. The pane beside the tree comes from a new optional export, `service-provider.detail(view, key)` (worlds `plugin-services` / `services`), which returns typed tabs: a message, read-only text or a process log. The IDE switches tabs without calling the plugin.
For a log, the UI names only the node and tab (`plugin_service_log`); the host asks the plugin for the pane again and runs its program with the plugin's `process:` grant in the project root, with the arguments of the toggles that are on, streaming its output into the log pane Docker uses until it exits (the exit code is shown), the pane closes or the Services window is hidden. A cancelled request starts nothing, lines are cut at 16 KiB, and revoking the grant or cancelling kills the program and what it started. The log pane moves to `src/ui/LogPane` and drops output that arrives after its source was stopped. The Rust SDK gains `openidea_plugin::services` (`Services`, `Tab`, `Pane`, `ProcessLog`). All components are rebuilt for the WIT change.

* fix(vcs): surface stage/unstage failures instead of swallowing them
The Commit tab's Stage/Unstage items ran the IPC call and only attached a
.finally(refreshNow) handler. call() rejects with IpcError on any backend
failure (require_trust, git add failure, path routing), so the rejection
went unhandled: no notification, no console line, and the UI silently
showed the file still unstaged — reported as 'Stage/Unstage doesn't
work' (#1890).
Route the four handlers through runOp(), the same helper every other
mutating VCS op uses: it logs the command to the Git console, shows an
error balloon with the backend's message on failure, and refreshes the
status afterwards (so the manual .finally is dropped).
This doesn't change the success path; it makes the failure visible, which
is what the reporter needed to diagnose the real backend error.
* fix(vcs): add text catalog entries for the stage/unstage op titles
The native Claude Code provider turned each AskUserQuestion question into a
permission request with only the option labels, shown in the permission
banner. Descriptions, headers, previews and multi-select were lost, and the
only way to give another answer was Skip, which tells Claude the user didn't
answer.
All questions now go out in one request carrying the full tool input, and
the conversation shows them as a card above the composer: each option with
its description, radio buttons or checkboxes for multi-select, an Other
choice with a text field, the option's preview beside the options on a wide
card (below them on a narrow one, sized to the tallest preview so hovering
never moves the options), number keys to pick, Esc to skip, and one Submit
for every answer.
Ordinary permission requests keep the banner, and Skip answers as before.
The answers go back in Claude Code's own format: question text to answer,
multi-select picks and Other text comma-joined, with an item that contains
the separator or a quote JSON-quoted so it reads back as one item.

* feat(maven): go to declaration for POM properties and parent-managed dependencies
Ctrl/Cmd-click (or Go to Declaration) on a `${property}` reference in a
pom.xml opens the `<properties>` entry that defines it - the POM's own,
else the first one along the parent chain (a child's definition wins; an
active profile's counts as the POM's own) - and a dependency / plugin
whose version a `<dependencyManagement>` / `<pluginManagement>` entry
provides opens that managing declaration. The chain follows
`<relativePath>` in the project and the local repository (Settings >
Maven's, else ~/.m2) for external parents, which open read-only as plain
files; `project.*` built-ins go to their coordinate elements. When
nothing resolves under the caret, nothing navigates: the usual 'Cannot
find declaration to go to' hint shows instead.
The backend answers a caret position (0-based line / UTF-16 column) with
the winner's file, range and kind (maven_goto_declaration), reusing the
build model's POM reader and parent resolver (ide_build::maven) instead
of a new parser. The frontend contribution (build-tools.pomNavigation)
claims only positions that can resolve - inside a `${...}` reference or
a <dependency> / <plugin> element - so the Cmd-hover underline stays out
of the rest of the file.
Refs #1735
* test(maven): normalize expected goto paths like the parent chain does
parent_chain resolves every path it returns through dunce::canonicalize,
but the goto_declaration tests compared those results against raw temp
paths, which differ on the CI runners: on macOS the temp dir sits behind
the /var -> /private/var symlink and on Windows under the RUNNER~1 8.3
short name with backslash separators, so the Rust (macos-latest) and
Rust (windows-latest) jobs failed in the new assertions while the
functionality itself was right.
Feed the expected paths through the same canonicalization call before
comparing, mirroring the production behavior on every platform; on a
plain Linux checkout the canonical form equals the raw path, so the
assertions stay equivalent there.

Extends the VenvTool set with a "Conda Environment" option: the dialog
runs 'conda create -p <location> -y', pinning 'python=<major.minor>' from
the chosen base interpreter when it reports a version. An existing
conda-meta directory is refused before conda runs, and a missing conda
binary reports an install hint instead of a spawn failure.

* feat(sdk): create Python environments with uv and Poetry in Add Interpreter
Add a VenvTool parameter to sdk_python_create_venv so the Add Python
Interpreter dialog can build a new environment with virtualenv, uv or
Poetry, matching what the environment discovery already finds. Poetry
keeps envs in its own cache, so the dialog disables the location field
for it and resolves the interpreter via 'poetry env info --path'.
Fixesl0ng-ai/openidea#1776
* fix(i18n): update text catalogs for the new env-tool strings
The Add Interpreter dialog gained uv/Poetry labels and per-tool notes,

'Creating environment'. Add the new zh entries and rename the stale
key in every catalog so the text-catalog test passes.
* fix(run): use system python per OS and pytest templates, detect pixi envs
Gutter/context pytest configs on Windows used `python3`, which is not a
command there; fall back to `python` on Windows. Gutter-created pytest
configs now also inherit "Edit configuration templates... > pytest"
values via a template cache populated with the run configurations.
Pixi environments (`.pixi/envs/<env>`) are detected as the project's
Python: as run-configuration env (`PyEnv::Pixi`, tools via
`pixi run` or the env's own executables), as the project interpreter
for scripts/tests and the debugger, and as selectable SDKs, so the
interpreter picked in the IDE feeds completion.
Fixesl0ng-ai/openidea#1885
* fix(run): drop the pytest template's own target in gutter configs
testConfigFor always appends the gutter file, so a target stored on the
template would run twice (template target plus the file). The gutter file is
the target. Also corrects pixi_env's doc comment to the implemented name
order.
* fix(agent): don't release an idle native agent while background tasks are running
A turn's background tasks (Claude Code's run_in_background commands) outlive
the turn: release_when_idle only checked for a running turn and open
permission requests, so five minutes after the turn ended it stopped the
agent process and orphaned whatever still ran, its result never reaching
the conversation.
Claude Code reports its live background tasks in stream-json mode: a
system/background_tasks_changed event carries the full list on every
change. The driver now translates it into an openidea_background_tasks
session update (like openidea_retry), the task keeps the list, and the
idle release waits while it isn't empty: it checks again after the usual
delay, and when the last task is done its report voids the pending
schedule and starts the delay over from then. A (re)started process
starts with no tasks, so a stale list can never hold the agent up.

* feat(agents): show the agent's background tasks above the composer
A grey bar above the composer lists what the agent runs in the
background (shells, monitors), with how long each has been running and
a Stop button per task. The task now carries the background tasks the
agent reports, with when each was first seen, and clears them when the
process ends. Stop asks Claude Code to end that one task through a new
_openidea/stop_task request; the composer's Stop keeps ending only the
turn (perTaskStopAffordance).

Removing a recent project from the title-bar project switcher opened the
Remove confirmation under the still-open switcher popup, which covers the
dialog (the popup layer sits above dialogs). askRemoveRecent and recentMenu
now take a closer, and the switcher passes its own close so the
confirmation lands on top (#1883).
Ctrl+C copies the selected changes' file names, Ctrl+Shift+C their
absolute paths, as IDEA does; the context menu gains Copy File Name
beside Copy Path. Applies to every changes tree (Commit tool window,
Git window's Local Changes, Commit dialog) and to the unversioned
group's files too.
* fix(vcs): open Commit dialog diffs in a front window (#1863)
In the modal Commit dialog, activating a changed file opened its diff in an
editor tab behind the dialog, invisible until the dialog closed. Open it in a
front Dialog stacked above instead (IntelliJ's diff window): Esc, the close
button or the close-tab chord returns to the Commit dialog with its message,
selection and options intact.
The dialog reuses DiffEditor with an embedded DiffData, so the full viewer
toolbar (prev/next difference, split/unified, ignore whitespace, highlighting)
is there. Chain navigation (F7 / Shift+F7 past an edge, diff.nextFile /
prevFile) now goes through a new onNeighbour hook instead of openDiff: an
embedded host swaps its own content rather than opening a hidden tab. Only
one diff window is kept, as in IDEA.
* fix(vcs): open the Commit dialog menu's Show Diff in a front window
The dialog-mode context menu still used the global vcs.showDiff action, which
opens an editor tab behind the modal Commit dialog. Route it through the same
front diff dialog as double-click.
java-debug resolves the Java project for Evaluate from `mainClass` only when the class
belongs to a project jdtls knows, and a JDWP attach cannot even see the main class, so
every expression failed with "Cannot evaluate, please specify projectName in launch.json".
Both builders now send `projectName`: the launch one for the project root jdtls resolved,
the attach one for the module directory. The name is read from Eclipse's `.project`
descriptor, else the Maven `artifactId` (jdtls names a module after its artifact, not its
folder), else the folder name.

A direct debug launch had no Run session to carry the app's HTTP port, so
its Services node only showed Debugging/Starting. The debugger now parses
the same embedded web server startup line as Run, publishes the port on
DebugServiceSession, and the node shows :port as soon as the app announces
it, exactly like a running service (#1718).

A PHP without the Xdebug extension ignores the -dxdebug.* options php-debug
starts it with, so a PHP debug session ran past every breakpoint and nothing
said why. Starting one now checks the PHP that will run (with XDEBUG_MODE=off,
in the session's folder, where a version manager's php shim picks the PHP) and
warns when Xdebug is not loaded, with Open PHP Settings; the session still
starts. Settings > PHP > CLI Interpreter shows the Xdebug version of the
selected PHP, or Not installed.

A breakpoint stop now grabs attention like IDEA's: the owning window's
taskbar button flashes while the window is in the background (new
window_flash_taskbar command wrapping request_user_attention, which never
flashes a focused window), and the flash is stopped when the window is
focused, the paused thread resumes, or the session ends. A window running
with Focus application on breakpoint still focuses instead of flashing,
and repeated hits while already flashing do not re-request attention.

Compiler output in the Build tool window now gets the same clickable
file locations as the run console: Maven's `path:[line, col]` errors,
`path:line:col` diagnostics and URLs open the file (or the browser)
when clicked, resolving against the directory of the step that printed
the line (reactor modules run in their own), then the project root
and a name search.
