"Reopen projects on startup" only saved window groups, so windows opened with New Window were lost. The saved session now lists every open project window (groups with their tabs and selection, single windows on their own), and the previous run's session is read before this run first overwrites it, so the startup project can't replace it before the other windows are restored.
* perf(vfs): list directories off the main thread and reuse the repository lookup
Opening a folder on a network share (\\wsl.localhost\<distro>\...) is slow
because every listing ran on the main thread and walked up to the repository
root and ran a repository discovery again.
- fs_read_dir runs on the blocking pool.
- GitignoreStack::cached keeps the repository root and the repo-level rules
for a few seconds. An edit of .git/info/exclude is still seen at once (its
mtime and size are checked) and every .gitignore / .ignore is read fresh.

* feat(remote): open WSL projects through a WSL transport
A folder of a WSL distro (\\wsl.localhost\<distro>\... or \\wsl$\...) now opens
as a remote project whose openidea-server runs inside the distro, so the
terminal, SDK discovery, run, language servers and git are native Linux.
- RemoteTarget (ssh | wsl) replaces the SSH configuration id in the remote
launch, connection, session and recents; old recents are read as SSH and a
WSL target never inherits the legacy trust migration.
- remote_wsl: probe the distro, stream the server into ~/.openidea/server and
start it with `wsl.exe -d <distro> --exec <bin> --stdio`. Distro names are
validated and every command goes through --exec with positional arguments.
- wsl_distros / wsl_resolve commands; File > Open, the CLI and recents route
WSL folders to the distro and focus the window that already has them.
- Remote Development dialog: SSH/WSL choice with the detected distros; the
status bar shows `WSL: <distro>` / `SSH: <host>`.
- ide-jsonrpc: skip the NUL left at the start of a line by UTF-16 output of
wsl.exe, which made the first message of the server disappear.
Not run on Windows yet: only a stand-in for wsl.exe is tested.

* fix(remote): satisfy clippy in WSL output decoding
* style(run): format run types
* fix: regenerate bindings and drop untranslated WSL catalog entry
* test(i18n): list WSL as an untranslated product name
* fix(run): pick build wrappers and shell quoting by the execution host
A remote window runs commands on its Linux or macOS server, so a Windows
desktop no longer selects gradlew.bat, mvnw.cmd or Windows quoting for it.
* fix(welcome): open legacy WSL UNC recents and sessions through the distro
Recents and the restored session called the local openProject for a
\\wsl.localhost folder saved before WSL projects, which fails with OS
error 123. They now resolve it like the other entry points.
* fix(windows): keep WSL files out of remote project launches
path_launch tested the WSL share before is_dir, so a first-instance CLI
launch with a WSL file opened a remote project instead of LightEdit.
* fix(remote): run-command OS comes from the remote host, not an assumption
The server's OS was dropped after connect, so a restored session had none and
isWindows() assumed every remote host is Unix. Keep it on the connection and
the session, and resolve it through hostOs().

Native fullscreen gives every window its own Space, so switching projects in a fullscreen window group left one Space and entered another: the desktop showed in between, and quick switching could drop out of fullscreen.
A grouped window now uses simple fullscreen for every member at once; switching projects only shows one window and hides the others. The green button, the system Enter Full Screen item and Toggle Full Screen take this path for grouped windows, which keep their window buttons; ungrouped windows keep native fullscreen. Menu bar and Dock auto-hide while any window is in simple fullscreen, and detaching or closing a tab keeps the rest of the group fullscreen.
Sync with Deployed opens in its own window, one per project window. It lists local files next to the server's copies, with filters, content and binary comparison, and an embedded side-by-side diff whose local side can be edited. The selected file can be synchronized (Enter) without closing the window.
The window is the `deployment` kind of the auxiliary windows that Settings and comparisons use. A cancelled close in it stops its project window from closing. The preview uses the vcs diff viewer through its `diff` editor kind. Also covers #811 (compare with the deployed versions).

Compare with Local, Compare Versions and the other revision comparisons open in a separate window that belongs to their project window. The window can be moved outside the main window, resized from its edges and corners, and shows the full diff. Edits made there and in the project window are mirrored both ways.
Root cause of #798: the comparison was an in-window dialog with a fixed size.
Settings and comparison windows now share one auxiliary-window mechanism (`AuxKind`, `open_auxiliary_window`). It handles labels, the title bar, placement over the parent, event forwarding, document-edit mirroring, menu routing, closing together with the parent, and remembered geometry per kind.

`openidea --line 120 --column 8 <file>` opens the file at that position (1-based; without --column the line start; clamped). The position is kept by file until the window that opens it takes its launch: new instance, second instance, a project open elsewhere, an already open file. The path argument skips these flags' values.
Closes#829
Right-clicking a project tab in a merged window group offers Close Other Tabs, Close Tabs to the Left and Close Tabs to the Right (left/right disabled at the ends); the same commands are in the Command Palette and can take shortcuts.
The backend closes the projects one at a time, focusing each so its own unsaved-changes prompt is visible, as Quit does. Cancelling a prompt stops the batch and leaves that project and the rest open; the clicked tab stays and is selected when the batch finishes. Starting Quit clears a pending batch.

tao makes frameless Wayland windows client-side decorated (an empty GTK
title bar, so the compositor adds no frame) but leaves them undecorated,
so GTK draws no shadow or resize margin and dark windows blend into
whatever is behind them. Decorating the window after build keeps that
empty title bar: GTK adds the theme's shadow and resize edges, nothing
else. Applies to project windows and the Settings window; X11 is
unchanged (decorating there would bring back the WM frame).
- Detect Wayland from GDK's backend (tao's own test), not env vars.
- Measure windows by GTK's content size, which excludes the shadow
margin, so remembered geometry and Settings placement don't grow.
- Skip the in-page resize handles on Wayland; GTK provides the edges.

An owned child (WS_POPUP) of a borderless parent gets no DWM shadow,
leaving the frameless settings window flat against its project window.
Ownership is already tracked by the settings-<parent> label (parent-close
cleanup in on_window_event, menu modality), so make the settings window
top-level on Windows; macOS and Linux keep the native parent link.
Project windows only joined a tab group when merged explicitly or restored at startup; the macOS "Prefer tabs when opening documents" setting was never read, so opening another project or a workspace always created a separate window.
New project windows now follow that preference: with Always they join the active project window's tab group (forming one if needed) and are selected; with In Full Screen they do so only while the active window is full screen; with Manually they stay separate. This covers every path that creates a project window — Open, recent projects, workspaces, drag and drop, and opening from the command line or Finder — while LightEdit windows and restored groups keep their behaviour. New Workspace now opens through the same Open project in policy as Open Workspace, and a race when toggling full screen during the join is fixed.

* fix(windows): keep maximized windows within the work area
* fix(windows): constrain final maximized outer placement
* Revert "fix(windows): constrain final maximized outer placement"
This reverts commit e481c900ca.
On Linux the window-state plugin restored the saved size before GTK's decorations and output scale had settled, so the saved physical inner size went through the creation-time CSD/scale conversion and drifted on every restart (52 px per axis under Mutter, the remembered size collapsing on other setups), and maximize transitions overwrote the remembered normal size.
Linux now builds project and settings windows hidden and restores them after the first configure, keeping the normal size apart from maximize, fullscreen and minimize, protecting it during transitions, and snapshotting each window before close instead of querying GTK during exit. The state file format is unchanged; macOS and Windows keep the plugin as before.
Verified under Mutter and Weston: three restarts at 1234×678, three maximized restarts followed by unmaximize, the settings window, several project windows across a full exit, and window groups all restore exactly. macOS restore is unchanged. Not run: GNOME on real hardware, mixed-DPI monitors, X11.

AppKit puts the title bar container and window buttons back at their defaults on every live resize step, title change and fullscreen exit. They were corrected from window notifications after that layout had been drawn, so the buttons bounced between positions, or stayed at the defaults when no notification followed. The frames are now corrected in a main run loop observer ordered just before the Core Animation commit, project windows are created hidden on macOS so the buttons are placed before the first frame, and repeated title bar height updates are skipped.
Choosing This Window for a local project in a remote window was routed to the remote host or skipped when the path matched the remote root. open_project and light_edit_open now run on the local backend and leave remote mode once they succeed, project trust for these opens is checked locally, and a failed open cancels the pending close.
On macOS versions where WKWebView refuses user-installed fonts by family name (fonts in ~/Library/Fonts or /Library/Fonts), the editor, terminal, Markdown and UI fell back to the default font and Nerd Font icons showed as boxes; only a webfont loaded from the file's bytes renders.
Root cause: the shared font resolver only ever referred to fonts by local family name, so every consumer depended on the WebView resolving user fonts by name. A URL-based webfont is blocked by the existing font-src policy, which stays unchanged.
Fix: the shared resolver probes whether a family renders by name (on a document-attached canvas; a detached canvas falls back even when the font works) and only when it does not, fetches the enumerated user font files over a raw-bytes IPC (user fonts only, looked up by family, no paths accepted) and registers them with the FontFace API under a stable alias. Only the faces nearest regular/bold and their italics are loaded, once per family. Covers editor and editor fallback, diff/merge views, terminal font, fallback and built-in Nerd fallback (re-measured after loading), embedded terminal, settings preview, custom UI font, Markdown and Mermaid. A debug-only environment switch reproduces the WebView restriction for testing.
Verified on macOS 26 with the restriction simulated (icons boxes before, correct after) and without it (no font bytes transferred, no regression). Not run on the reporter's macOS version, Windows or Linux; other platforms keep the previous behaviour.
Fixes#592
IDE zoom changed the toolbar height while the macOS window buttons stayed at a fixed vertical position. The buttons are now centred in the title bar using its measured height and the zoom, and repositioned after AppKit layout updates. Zooming out keeps enough room for them so they do not cover the project icon, and compact mode follows the same alignment.
Windows align from the saved zoom and compact setting when they are built, so the buttons do not move once the page loads. The height uses the zoom the webview applies, so an out-of-range setting cannot misplace them.
* fix(settings): keep the settings window inside the work area on Windows and Linux
* fix(settings): subtract the window frame when shrinking to the work area
Linux windows used the GTK menu bar and the system title bar, unlike the frameless main toolbar on Windows.
Linux project and Settings windows now turn off decorations, install no GTK menu bar and draw the main menu and caption buttons in the title bar.

Dragging an editor tab past the window edge, or choosing Open in New Window from its menu, now opens the file in its own window and closes the tab here. A text file is saved first and a custom document runs its Save / Do not Save / Cancel guard once; if saving or opening fails, the tab stays. The new window is forced even when the project is already open elsewhere, and a file outside the project opens as LightEdit.
Dragging out tool windows is not covered. Refs #454

Workspaces open several local project folders in one IDE session (File › New / Open / Manage Workspace…, or Attach when opening a project, which creates a workspace automatically for a plain project window). Member folders are the Project view roots and take part in indexing, Find in Files, Git, language servers, run configurations and builds; agent tasks choose which member they work in. Window › Merge All Project Windows groups project windows into one window with project tabs (switch, reorder, close, move to a new window), restored on reopen.

Fitting the settings window to the monitor work area left it invisible on a
Windows secondary display. The fitting now applies on macOS only; Windows and
Linux centre the window over its owner as before.
Fixes#325
The Settings window opened at its remembered or default size even when that did not fit the current display, so on a 1920x1080 screen (or one with a taskbar or scaling) its bottom, including OK / Cancel / Apply, was cut off. Before showing, the window is now sized and positioned within the parent's monitor work area, in that monitor's logical coordinates and including the native frame; a size remembered on a larger display is clamped too, and the minimum size yields to a smaller work area. If the window system cannot report bounds, the window still opens unchanged.

未在 Windows / Linux 实机验证。
Files opened from inside the app (File › Open File…, a drop on the Welcome screen, Open File in a single-file window) were always kept in the requesting window, so a file belonging to a project open in another window went to the single-file window instead. These paths now follow the same rule as Finder, Dock and second-instance opens: window_open_files normalises the paths and routes them through plan_open via plan_open_files, which sends files inside an open local project to that project's window. It returns only the files the requesting window should open itself. The TypeScript side no longer has any routing logic. Files dropped onto a project window still open in that window.
Refs #128
On macOS, OpenIDEA is now listed under Finder's Open With for text and source files and for folders. It never becomes the default app for any of them: all document types are declared with rank Alternate, and only in tauri.macos.conf.json, so Windows and Linux installers register nothing.
Files opened from Finder, the Dock or a second instance share one routing path (plan_open). A file inside a local project that is already open, or still opening, goes to that project's window, choosing the deepest root when projects are nested. Any other file goes to the existing single-file window, or to a new one. A folder focuses the window that already has it open, otherwise it opens as a project. Paths that arrive before setup are queued and opened with the first launch.
The single-file window now closes with its last tab, restores its files the next time it opens, and only offers Open File and drop hints when empty. Also fixes a regression: reopening projects on startup no longer replaces a file opened at cold start.
Refs #128
Files can now be opened without a project. A file dropped on the Welcome screen, picked with File › Open File…, or passed on the command line or to a second instance opens in a lightweight window: editor tabs only, with no project tree, indexing, language servers, VCS or project tool windows. Syntax highlighting, find, save, undo and Local History still work. More files opened later join the same window as new tabs. Open as Project in the status bar opens the file's directory as a full project, following the open-project policy, and reopens the file there.
Backend: a light session reuses Project with an unindexed index, no LSP or VCS, and a flat watch on each opened file's directory. It is never reused as a project for the same root. Previously a file passed at launch opened its parent directory as a project.
- The title bar project popup lists Remote Development… next to Open… and Clone Repository….
- Opening a remote project follows "Open project in" (new window / this window / ask) when this window already has a project, and confirms leaving the current one first.
- A remote project already open in another window focuses that window.
- A new window connects to the host itself and shows the connection progress on its welcome screen.
- Recent remote projects get Open in New Window.
Adds Solarized Light, Solarized Dark, One Light and One Dark as built-in themes across the workbench, editor, terminal and Mermaid, keeping the original palettes (MIT notices in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md, mapping in docs/themes.md).
- Native window colours are read from tokens.css at build time (`theme_frame.rs`) instead of a second colour table.
- Startup restores the built-in palette before first paint.
- Editor schemes, the terminal and Mermaid refresh on switches between themes of the same kind.
- The plugin packages of the same themes are removed.
- A test requires every built-in palette theme to define each token (only listed ones may inherit from the base theme), so new tokens can't silently miss them.

Solarized Light/Dark and One Light/Dark ship as theme plugins (plugins/theme-solarized, plugins/theme-one) with complete UI tokens, editor schemes and terminal colours, and the original palettes' MIT notices. Installing a plugin now also copies its LICENSE/NOTICE/COPYING.
Theme handling that benefits every plugin theme:
- The last plugin theme is restored before first paint (splash, workbench); the native window background follows the theme.
- HSL / color-mix() / var() colours are resolved to RGB for native windows, the Settings window and Mermaid.
- Mermaid, the terminal and editor schemes follow switches between two themes of the same kind.
- An explicitly chosen editor scheme wins over a plugin theme's editor colours.

Project windows are created in setup with the saved theme's frame colour, and the splash covers the first render while the launch project opens, so a window no longer flashes white or the Welcome screen. Single-instance is now release-only so a dev build can run beside an installed release.
Opening another project in the same window left the previous project's state in
module-level stores: Amend and the commit message carried over, debug sessions kept
running, and Git Log, usages, hierarchy, inspection, HTTP client, recent locations,
navigation history and notifications still showed the old project.
Reset each of them on a project root change, stop the old debug sessions, ask about
unsaved changes before leaving a project, close the settings window (it would apply
to the new project) and end the indexing task when a scan is cancelled.
